PROJECT INFO
Located at 150 Camp St, San Antonio, TX, the Ruby City Museum is a 14,000 square foot contemporary art center featuring 10,000 square feet of exhibition space. The center serves as a hub for the city's vibrant creative community, showcasing works by both local and internationally acclaimed artists. Envisioned in 2007 by the late collector, philanthropist, and artist Linda Pace, Ruby City houses Pace's collection of over 800 paintings, sculptures, installations, and video works. Designed by Adjaye Associates, the museum is part of a larger campus that includes Chris Park, a one-acre public green space named in memory of Pace's son, and Studio, an auxiliary exhibition space offering curated shows and programming throughout the year. The construction was handled by Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, with Oldcastle as the system supplier. The museum features Reliance (7 1/4") and Blastmax (7 1/2") system types, and the glass was fabricated by Viracon, using 1/4" Clear VS-108 (2); 1/2" AS; 1/4" Clear and 1/4" Clear VNE 19-63 (2); 1/2" AS; and 7/16" Low Iron Lami with .090 PVB. The project spanned from July 2017 to January 2019.
