PROJECT INFO

Located at 1 UTSA Circle, San Antonio, TX 78249, the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) Science and Engineering Building is a state-of-the-art facility spanning approximately 140,000 square feet across four stories, with a mechanical penthouse on the fifth floor. This modern educational space includes classrooms, maker spaces, faculty offices, and science and engineering instructional laboratories. It also houses UTSA’s new chemical engineering program, which prepares students for careers in various industries such as oil and gas, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, environmental engineering, and materials engineering. A notable feature of the building is the two-story distillation column, enabling students to study mixtures as practiced in industrial settings, made possible by a generous donation from Bill and Margie Klesse through the Klesse Foundation.
