PROJECT INFO

Sharp provided design-build services for the new 245,000 sq ft U.S. Courthouse in downtown San Antonio. The courthouse includes eight courtrooms, 13 judges’ chambers, and spaces for U.S. federal agencies including the U.S. Courts, U.S. Marshals Service, and U.S. Attorneys. Clad in natural stone, terra cotta, architectural metal panels, and glass curtainwall, the three-story structure meets stringent blast load requirements. It features robust physical and electronic security systems, supporting public safety and prisoner movement. The central atrium enhances the space with terrazzo flooring, wood wall paneling, and abundant natural light. Secured surface parking for 81 vehicles is provided on the 6.3-acre urban site.
